Our church proudly hosts and supports Stone Soup Menus, a food nonprofit. Founded in April 2020 as a response to Covid, the mission of Stone Soup Menus is “Reducing hunger in Alamance County by preparing and delivering nutritious meals.” Stone Soup cooks nutritious meals creatively planned around donations from community gardens, restaurants, and individuals, and serves those who have difficulty cooking for themselves. This includes referrals from social services as well as those on the Meals on Wheels waiting list and those not covered within the parameters of that program. Spending less than $250 a month, Stone Soup feeds more than 130 people a week. Feel free to reach out to the church or pastor for more information and chances to serve.
