Originally from Wisconsin, I studied Religious Studies at Macalester College and received an m. Div from Duke. I enjoy spending time with my wife Erin and our daughter, who I'm blessed to watch on Erin's work days. In my free time, I like to cook, watch movies and sports, or read. I mostly love thrillers and detective novels as well as history and doorstop biographies.
I love studying scripure and preaching. If you worship with us, you will find that I love worshipping in a small community where church can be interactive. I believe we work together to hear God's call in our lives, and try to make worship a discussion between ourselves and God. My biggest belief is that the people of God do serious work, but we're also blessed with the joy of knowing God is making all things new. I believe strongly the important work of the Gospel can also be fun.
